Fundamentals of Chinese Medicine for Yin Yoga: 20-hour modular programme
This 20-hour modular programme is designed for established Yin yoga teachers and yoga therapists. It also provides an excellent introduction for anyone interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
You can enrol on all six modules or select the ones that appeal to you most. Please note that the modules are interconnected, with subjects progressing from foundational concepts to more advanced material.
You will explore theoretical ideas and practical techniques that can be incorporated straight away into your existing teaching or personal practice. Alongside each workshop, you will have access to a Google Classroom for that module, containing a brief topic manual, class recordings and Yoga nidras relevant to its theme.
Each module lasts 2 hours 30 minutes. The additional recordings and Google Classroom materials provide roughly a further 90 minutes to 2 hours of self-paced study.
There will also be a short quiz to complete, suggested reading and class themes to prepare for review.
Sessions are held on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Please check the dates and times carefully before booking.

These themes can be used in a similar way to the Chakra system in Yoga.

Acupressure and palpating energy channels during Yin Yoga
This final module focuses on the practical use of channel locations and pressure points that can be easily found on the hands and feet. Learn how to introduce acupressure self-care during Yin poses and Savasana.
It is a highly practical, hands-on session. If you cannot attend in the studio, it is recommended that you have someone with you to practise on during the workshop.
You will also learn to palpate the channels of the 12 meridian lines along the routes from hands to elbows and from feet to knees.
The module includes a copy of the pressure points and channel lines, Google Classroom access with additional links and references, and a Yoga nidra script.
